Letters from the Oman Trail – Arabian Gazelle

Letters from the Oman Trail – Arabian Gazelle

I went from 41°c the first night to 37°c this past one. Altitude (800 m roughly where I’m standing) and a small breeze is helping, we are making progress. Finally I managed to rest a tiny bit.

The goat did spend the night near by, but decided to go look for food early. How she climbed that rock face above us is beyond me ? It’s like a giant asymmetrical staircase, but the idea of just missing one step prevents me from trying. I’m not yet a mountaineer.

However someone else is here to greet me this morning. A small gazelle, curious to see who dared come up this far. Beautiful way to start the day.
